Warface, the online shooter available for consoles and computers, has activated the crossplay for versions of PS4 y Xbox One; Nintendo Switch join the crossplay later with another update. As of today, the users of these systems can already play together thanks to the fact that the crossover game connects the same servers to the more than 22 million video game players. In addition to being able to play in the same games, users can communicate with each other through voice and text chat from their platforms.
Warface will have crossplay for PS4 and Xbox One and at the moment it is not contemplated that it will reach PC
Crossplay is automatically enabled once the last update of the video game. Despite this, those users who prefer to play against players of the same console, will be able to deactivate the crossplay manually through settings. The function of playing as a team with friends from other platforms will come in the future. For the moment, PC version is not included in crossover play and it is not planned that progress or transfers can be shared with this version due to technical limitations, they have reported.
Warface recently released a new season on consoles called The Swarm, which has accompanied the arrival of the cross game. The Swarm includes maps PvP, a battle pass, themed weapon skins, and other rewards. It should be noted that the cross-save cross-platform is not yet enabled, so it is impossible to move progress (achievements, items, equipment) from one system to another. Since MY.GAMES have offered a statement in which they have announced the addition of crossplay: “We are happy to announce the launch of crossplay on PlayStation and Xbox and we are sure it will make your gaming experience even more enjoyable. We hope that the crossplay add even more participation to the game, create a more stable environment and unify our players“.
