NIS America has confirmed that The Caligula Effect 2 will be launched in Spain and the rest of Europe on October 22, just a few days later than in the United States, on October 19. It is an RPG for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 developed by Historia, who worked on The Caligula Effect: Overdose -the remake for home systems of the original PS Vita created by Aquria-, available in Japan from June 24th. We show you his new trailer for the West.
His story tells us about how Regret has created the world of Redo to save people from their past regrets by locking them, unknowingly, in a simulation. But this “paradise” is reeling when χ enters Gret’s reality and restores a student’s memory. To escape from Redo you need to form a resistance group to fight against Regret and his forces, the Obbligato Musicians.
The sequel will bring new characters that we can recruit to fight Regret. Thanks to Imaginary Chain we can predict enemy movements and prepare the perfect strategy, employ calculated techniques to give an advantage in combat. The story is written by Tadashi Satomi (Person) and director Takuya Yamanaka, while the vocaloid-inspired soundtrack sets the world of Redo.
