Steam Deck flooded the headlines last week, after the Valve company finally decided to present the product officially after the May leak: we are talking about a portable console capable of running the games that users have in their Steam library, also offering features and characteristics of Valve’s digital store (such as saving in the cloud or chat). In addition to allowing us to expand your storage capacity with a microSD card slot, players will also be able to upgrade the SSD of any of the three Steam Deck models with its own M.2 2230 SSD slot.

In one of these emails, Newell confirmed that Steam Deck offers a M.2 2230 SSD slot in its three models. This means that gamers will have the option to upgrade and expand the internal storage of the console themselves. Mind you: it should be noted that the M.2 2230 drives are not exactly cheap, but it is good that gamers have the option of, at some point, thus improving the capacity of the device.
