Sonic Origins is a new compilation series with which SEGA intends to honor the blue hedgehog on its 30th anniversary. This was confirmed today by the company itself during Sonic Central, an event dedicated precisely to informing about the future of the franchise and its upcoming projects related to the character’s birthday.
This new compilation include Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992), Sonic CD (1993) and Sonic 3 & Knuckles (1994). “Fans looking for a nostalgic gaming experience will be able to dive into these classic hits and enjoy non-stop Sonic action and fresh content“, explains the company before anticipating that they will soon give more information about this project.
Other great announcements from Sonic Central
In addition to this compilation of the classic installments, SEGA today announced other big projects of Sonic to be released soon: one of them is the rumored remastering of Sonic Colors, which has finally come true and come under the name Sonic Colors: Ultimate the September 7 to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.
