Resident Evil 8: Village has exceeded 4.5 million copies sold worldwide between digital and physical distribution, Capcom has revealed in a Twitter message. Half of the company’s top ten best-selling games are owned by Resident Evil, and although these data have been able to vary in the last months, it seems quite probable that Resident Evil 8 soon surpass Resident Evil 2 original. It remains to be seen whether to match the record -for the saga- of Resident Evil 7 with its more than 9 million copies since its launch in January 2017.
