Outriders is the new sci-fi action adventure from People Can Fly edited by Square Enix what is available from yesterday both on PC (through Steam and Epic Games Store), as well as on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Stadia arriving on Microsoft consoles with the well-known Game Pass subscription service.
At the moment it is unknown how the sales of the game have gone during this first day on consoles but on PC or, at least on Steam, we can already say that has debuted successfully achieving a peak of 111,953 simultaneous players during the last hours placing itself among the most played games on Steam only surpassed by some almost invincible Valve platform regulars like CS:GO, DOTA 2, PUBG O GTA V.
Also if we compare it with another of Square Enix’s great launches on PC, Marvel Avengers, the triumph of Outriders about this title is remarkable since the Marvel universe-inspired video game barely managed to capture a peak of 28,145 players simultaneous during their first day of life on Steam.
High requirements and good performance with NVIDIA DLSS
To play it on PC, players need a fairly decent computer since to play 1080p and 60fps we need 16 GB of RAM, an Intel 7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processor and a graphic NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 o AMD Radeon RX Vega 56.
We were able to test it on PC before launch to test NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, gaining about 20 fps performance with DLSS Quality Mode compared to when we were not using it. Of course, to tell you about the performance and other details we will wait for the analysis although some players are encountering some problems with the servers (almost inevitable on the debut day of a game) and certain stuttering in some cases it was not present in the demo.
