Last September, Microsoft announced the purchase of Bethesda, the studio responsible for sagas known and loved by players such as The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Doom, Dishonored, The Evil Within and a number of other titles. Own CEO de Microsoft confirmed shortly after the acquisition of Bethesda that the company does not rule out the purchase of more studios. A new rumor suggests that Microsoft Announce New Studio Joining the Xbox Game Studios Family at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase Conference on Sunday June 13 at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) during the E3 2021 fair.
Twitter user Idle Sloth recently shared a conversation from the server Discord de Windows Central. In this conversation, the journalist Jez Corden claimed that, according to very reliable rumors, Microsoft will have acquired a new studio along with its licenses. Corden himself points out that the acquisition does not have to be Triple-A level material, but which is likely to be announced ahead of the conference E3 2021. It won’t be the first time Microsoft announces the acquisition of studies in some event, so taking into account the precedent does not sound far-fetched.
Lol didn’t intend for those comments to go far and wide. But no I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an acquisition, but I have no hard evidence yet (yall know I like my evidence). Jez Corden (@JezCorden) June 6, 2021
Jez Corden has noticed the repercussion of the tweet and has wanted to add some comments from his personal account: “Lol, I did not intend for these comments to go that far. But no, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an acquisition, but I still do not have solid evidence. “Taking into account this slight correction or nuance, we can only wait for the conference premiere to see for ourselves if the journalist is right and Microsoft have opted for the acquisition of a new studio to increase the amount of their licenses for Xbox Game Studios.
