Ubisoft will be preparing a multiplayer PvP -player versus player- with code name BattleCat what would combine some of the more popular Tom Clancy licenses, such as Splinter Cell, Ghost Reckon: Breakpoint Y The Division in the same title. The images leaked on social networks have gained more credibility after their publication in VGC, which understands that they are authentic, and that BattleCat reach consoles and PC; it was in tests in January.

The title will face the Echelon factions (Splinter Cell) with the Wolves (Breakpoint) and the Cleaners and Outcast of The Division. Each character class has its unique abilityFor example, Echelon members would be more geared towards taking advantage of stealth, Wolves would have additional protection, and characters from The Division they could collaborate more easily in the recovery of fallen comrades.

The leak describes two game modes: Escort, where attackers must move a package to a dispatch zone while defenders try to avoid it, and Ringleader, where fighters clash to collect rings from fallen opponents. It is not the first time that Ubisoft has united the different games of the writer Tom Clancy in one, Elite Squad -a free action RPG for mobile launched last year- already allows you to unite and improve heroes and villains of Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and more.

Ubisoft confirmed that it will enhance its online games

This project will be one of the bets that Ubisoft prepares to gain presence in the online space free-to-play where the editor has not achieved the expected presence with Hyper Scape, its battle royale released last year. Electronic Arts and Activision, on the other hand, have managed to eat part of the land to Fortnite thanks to Apex Legends Y Call of Duty: Warzone respectively.

We are creating games free to play high-end to tend to long-term triple-A ambitions. We think we have a great opportunity to significantly expand the audience for our larger series, “said Frederick Duguet, Ubisoft’s CFO of Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland -a free game in the world of The Division– and other games.
