The organizers of the Gamescom 2021 They have announced the first partners that will make an appearance at the digital event and that until a couple of months ago it was planned as a hybrid appointment: online and in person. The Gamescom 2021 will be held on August 25 to 27. “Video Games: The New Normal”

The event this year will have the slogan “Games: The New Normal” (Video games: the new normal, by its translation from English). This will bring up several themes throughout the event: how interactive entertainment contributes to society “especially in a more digital and connected world after the coronavirus pandemic”; the biggest affordability of video games; and the live broadcasts games, “which are no longer a phenomenon of video game culture […]but it has become the bonfire of the digital age. “

The event will be broadcast through two newly announced channels: ProSieben MAXX and esports.com of the German firm. Seven.One Entertainment Group; and the Russian social network VK.com. They join those previously announced: YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Facebook Gaming.

One day before the event begins, on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 24 (the time has not yet been specified), the Opening Night Live, the opening ceremony presented by Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards, Summer Game Fest) where news is usually announced.
