More details on JRPG Episode 2 are starting to arrive Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a chapter that will help us continue the adventures of Cloud and his friends through this world of fantasy and action. Part 1 focused on the entire Avalanche arc, Shinra, and the Corruption of Midgar; while this Part 2 aims to be approached in a slightly different way. This has been pointed out by the producer Tetsuya Nomura, who shared more details this week on what fans can expect. The version was recently released Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for PlayStation 5.
During the official live broadcast of Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier, translated by “aitaikimochi” on Twitter, Nomura wanted to point out that many players had asked him about Part 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. However, he pointed out that it is “a lo” to give information and details of this second episode of the game. So, after receiving approval from a number of Square Enix departments, Nomura revealed what little information they allowed him to: “Game development is progressing smoothly”, he commented.
Agg que “Cloud wandering through nature” in much of this story. It seems that Nibelheim and Cosmo Canyon will be the two key locations in this second part, as distilled from Nomura’s words. In this sense, he also argues that Episode 2 will offer “a different atmosphere” to the first episode, with the narrative kicking off immediately after the events seen in Intergrade.
Here’s my translation of Nomura’s full comment about FF7R Part 2, taken from the FF7 The First Soldier #0 Stream
-Pt. 2 starts right after the events of Intergrade
-Cloud will be running around in the wild, different atmosphere than Pt. 1

Episode 2 of FF7 Remake offers a very different atmosphere than Episode 2
Most likely fans who played the original 1997 title will know exactly what Nomura means by that “change of environment” What will happen between Episode 1 and Episode 2, once Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, and Red XIII leave the streets of Midgar behind. In this way, everything indicates that in this second part we will explore Cloud and Tifa’s hometown, Nibelheim, along with Junon and Cosmo Canyon.
To travel between these places, Cloud and his group will have to cross the gaia desert, but it is possible that in this remake more scenarios were added to explore during this interlude. For the moment, we’ll have to wait for Square Enix to give Nomura permission to tell us more details. We remind you that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available exclusively for PS4, while Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is available for PS5.
“A spectacular conversion of his PS4 adventure and an entertaining expansion starring Yuffie,” we wrote in the analysis from Intergrade. We also invite you to consult our complete guide tips and tricks to help you prepare for your adventure when Episode 2 arrives.
