Assassin’s Creed Valhalla wants to surprise players in their second year of content, as stated by Ubisoft. The open world adventure game that makes us the Viking legend Eivor recently took us to Ireland with its DLC Wrath of the Druids, but still there are more surprises to come on the horizon. This has been indicated by the French firm in its recent quarterly report, ensuring that they want Valhalla becomes the best title in the series (so far, the series in general has enjoyed its best sales year thanks to this title).
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and its future content
During the recent quarterly earnings meeting held on Tuesday, the CFO Frdrick Duguet has called the upcoming content “surprising” to get to the game. It seems that Ubisoft is planning to include in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla something out of the ordinary in the saga. The title was launched in November 2020 in Spain and around the world; and although a few months ago we can enjoy Wrath of the Druids, its second expansion will also be launched soon: The Siege of Paris, which leads us to be part of the Viking invasion of France in 845 AD
“We will continue to offer powerful content from Assassin’s Creed over the next several months and years, beginning with an ambitious post-launch plan to Valhalla, including expansion Siege of Paris to be released this summer, the release of Discovery Tour Viking Age, and a very ambitious and amazing second year of content for the first time in franchise history“Duguet said Tuesday.
Valhalla’s second post-launch year aims to be very novel
In turn, Duguet also noted the following: “We are pushing the live service model to a level that allows Valhalla to be the best game in the series to date, and we will arrive with new and exciting news and [anuncios] amazing included for the second year of content. “A live service model that will also be seen in the advertised Assassin’s Creed Infinity: an online multiplayer that takes players to immerse themselves in different periods of the saga while it evolves over time, respecting the characteristic narrative of the series.
Valhalla breaking the schemes
Ubisoft confirmed that, for the first time, an Assassin’s Creed game will receive a second year of expansions. This content will arrive throughout 2022. “For the first time in an Assassin’s Creed title, we will support the game well into the second year,” said Karen Lee, senior community developer at Ubisoft Montreal. “While this year will be a very active year for the game, we are already working on more expansions for next year. Something tells me that Eivor is not done with Odin yet“.
“Assassin’s Creed returns with a gigantic and entertaining RPG that stands out once again with its fantastic setting, but that in the playable and the narrative repeats the same successes and errors of its predecessors “, we wrote in our analysis. The title is available for PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS5 and Stadia.
